Paco Carretero Palomares

Managing Partner at Vallbé, Paco Carretero specialises in labour and social security law. He has extensive experience providing legal advice to both public and private institutions and organisations, particularly in areas such as collective bargaining, labour restructuring, and the management of complex employment relations. He also has a solid track record in representing clients before the labour and administrative courts in matters related to employment and social security law.

While studying Law at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, he combined his academic training with roles at the Barcelona Provincial Council and the General Treasury of the Social Security. After graduating in 1991, he joined Vallbé. In 1998, he took on responsibility for the Labour Law Department and, in 2010, became the firm’s Managing Partner.

His legal career is complemented by a strong commitment to teaching. He has lectured in various master’s and postgraduate programmes at renowned institutions, including the Autonomous University of Barcelona (Master in Health Institution Management, Postgraduate Course in Comprehensive Training for Social Agents, and Master in Legal Practice); the University of Barcelona (IL3 – Institute for Lifelong Learning); the University of Vic – Central University of Catalonia in Manresa (Postgraduate Course in the Management of Social and Health Care Centres and Services for People with Dependency); and the Open University of Catalonia. In addition, he has served as a teaching consultant for several non-university institutions, sharing his expertise in labour and legal matters.
