Marc Marsal Ferret

Lawyer at Vallbé, Marc Marsal specialises in administrative law. He has extensive experience advising and representing clients in administrative proceedings before all territorial administrations and their public sector bodies, independent authorities (such as the Catalan Competition Authority, Anti-Fraud Office, and Electoral Boards), and in litigation before the contentious-administrative jurisdiction, the Court of Auditors, the Constitutional Court, the Court of Justice of the European Union, and the European Court of Human Rights.

Marc graduated in Law from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 1996. He completed doctoral courses in Law and obtained his research proficiency with distinction (Matrícula d’Honor) at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona in 1999, as well as the Diploma from the European Academy of Public Law in 2001.

He taught Administrative Law at UAB, UB, and UOC for over twenty years (1998-2019) and has undertaken research stays at the London School of Economics and Political Science and the European University Institute in Florence.

Marc is the author or co-author of several monographs, articles, and academic contributions in Administrative Law and has served on the editorial boards of Revista Autonomies and Revista Catalana de Dret Públic.

Between 2006 and 2010, he coordinated the legal advisors for the Vice Presidency Department of the Generalitat de Catalunya, with specific responsibilities in the implementation of the Statute of Autonomy.

Since 2016, he has been a member of the Legal Advisory Commission of the Generalitat de Catalunya.

Marc practised as a specialised administrative law solicitor at CERTIOR IURIS from 2011 and joined Vallbé in 2021, where he currently works in the Administrative Law department.
