Carles Mundó Blanch

He has extensive experience in team leadership, strategic management, and overseeing complex projects. Currently, he serves as secretary to various boards of trustees of foundations linked to health, research, education, culture and business, advising on governance, regulatory compliance and project management.

Since 2018, he has been a member of the Legal Advisory Committee of the Generalitat de Catalunya, the advisory body that issues opinions on the legality of the actions of Catalan administrations. He also sits as an arbitrator on the Barcelona Arbitration Court (TAB) and, since 2023, he is member of the Presidential Council of Foment del Treball, the advisory body of Catalonia’s main business association.

Carles Mundó graduated in Law from Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in 1998 and holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning and Building Law from the same university. He joined Vallbé in 2006, coming from another law firm.

In the institutional sphere, he has been Minister of Justice of the Government of Catalonia and has carried out managerial functions in various Departments, also participating in the management of public bodies and companies in the communication, telecommunications and social reintegration sectors.

He has chaired the Civil Law Codification Commission of Catalonia, contributing to the promotion of various legislative projects, and the Observatory of Private Law of Catalonia, of which he is still a member. In the university field, he has been a member of the Social Council of the University of Barcelona and of the Social Council of the Pompeu Fabra University, of which he was chairman of the Academic Committee

In recognition of his professional work, he has been awarded the 2018 Justice Prize, the highest distinction awarded by the Generalitat de Catalunya in this field, and the Medal of the Barcelona Bar Association (ICAB) in 2023.
